Nokia E7 Business Phone

It’s been a few weeks since we played with the Nokia E7 at Nokia World, but already the first reviews are popping up on the web. Is it any good then? Join us after the break to find out

We were really impressed when we saw the Nokia E7 at Nokia World. Offering the same stunning build quality as the Nokia N8, but adding in a larger screen and a big QWERTY keyboard, it looks like it could be the perfect corporate handset.

Know Your Mobile have managed to get hold of a Nokia E7 for review, and have likened it to the Nokia N8 in design – a point we agree with. It’s almost identical, in fact, from the front – line them up together an the only difference is the larger screen (at 4 inches) and the location of the menu button.

The website goes on to praise the Nokia E7 for its design, stating that Nokia “has done really well on the aesthetics front”. They weren’t so impressed with the sliding mechanism of the keyboard – finding it tricky to open the first time – but this is something you become accustomed to with use.
We already know that the Nokia E7 is built like the proverbial outhouse, with an incredibly robust anodised aluminium casing, but what about the rest of the device?

Know Your Mobile are fans of the screen in particular, pointing out that the 4-inch AMOLED display is “every bit as good as it sounds – blacks look intense and brighter colours simply jump off the page”.
It’s the software that lots of people will be interested in, however, with the Nokia E7 using the same Symbian ^3 OS as the N8. We’re really impressed with Symbian ^3, with the operating system proving a lot more fluid than older incarnations, and it seems that Know Your Mobile Agree:
